Dolores L. Wilson, 77, of Peoria, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Lutheran Hillside Village.

Dolores was born on January 12, 1933, a daughter of Welcome H. and Elsie L. (Pritchet) Davis. She married Herbert Dale Wilson on January 12, 1951 in Franklin County. He survives.

She is also survived by her daughters, Lori (Guy) Emhoff of Chillicothe and Lois Wilson of Pekin; sister, Joyce Jean Davis of Pekin; brothers, Welcome (Joyce) Davis of Tremont, Gerald (Arlene) Davis of Bartonville, Larry (Beverly) Davis of Peoria and William (Annamae) Davis of South Windsor, CT; and five grandchildren, Dustin (Jessica) Harmon, Jason (Mashona) Harmon, Andrea (James N.) Kenny, Kacie Orr and Lily Billen; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James, Tom and Gary “Poncho” Davis.

Dolores was an administrative assistant for the Hampshire Swine Registry, until 1965 when she became a “Mom” for the first time.  She attended East Side Bible Church in Morton.

She loved reading, puzzles of all kinds, collecting porcelain figures, magnets and listening to gospel music.

Dolores enjoyed traveling whether it be a day trip or venturing out seeing different states.  Her greatest love was spending time with everyone in her family and “honorary” family. She loved to spoil her grandkids and great-grandkids. They were the loves of her life.

Dolores will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her husband and family and her love for all kids. They will never forget her loving and caring nature along with her funny and sometime ornery humor!

Funeral services to celebrate Dolores’ life will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria, with Pastors Steve Weber and Dennis Pycraft officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dolores’ memory to the Lutheran Hillside Village Foundation.
